]baud alpha 7 (rev 2)
This build fixes a number of important issues present in the Roguelike Celebration build from last weekend.
- There was an issue in the Permadeath sequence that could cause crashes
- The level 3 map would not load correctly causing it to be impassable.
- The key inventory option on the Mainframe now is correctly formatted
- Level generation is correctly cleaned up on re-generation
There are also a number of improvements as well:
- Entries are no longer re-entrant - once you ascend to the next level you cannot go backwards. This was done to avoid "stair dancing" to try and game the level generation. It also could result in unnecessarily consuming Credentials increasing the potential for a game ending shortage.
- Key generation has been improvement. Since you cannot descend, the game will ensure that the keys needed are present in the level. Of course, claiming them (when present) on an earlier level may be easier (less difficult enemies to contend with)
- Trivia has been expanded.
